McAfee Knob and Tinker Cliffs

Monday, 5/19. Despite my mental and physical anguish, Monday was spectacular!

The day began at the Four Pines Hostel, where Joe took great care of us, and arranged transportation back to the trail at 6:30 am.

A two hour climb took us to McAfee Knob, the most photographed spot on the AT, and for good reason! Spectacular!

From there, three more hours of hiking brought us to Tinker Cliffs, where you hike along a rocky cliff with more fantastic views.

After 11 hours of me stumbling down the trail, we finally made it to Daleville.
